I've never been a big fan of patterns - be it plaid, floral or abstract, most prints just aren't quite my style. Normally my only diversion from solids is with stripes and as it turns out, stars. Either these patriotic yanks are wearing off on me, or this simple black and white blouse could be an exception to the rule.
I think the main reason I usually shy away from prints is that they're harder to get good wear out of. If you're anything like me, it's easier to get bored of a statement printed piece than it is from a solid staple that can be worn over and over. When I'm buying something new I really consider how often I'll wear it - more about that here - however, this doesn't mean sustainable style needs to be boring! So here I am foraying into the land of prints, because what could more classic than a star sign? The blouse is from Reformation, obvs, so it's already guilt-free and so far I've worn it to brunch, to the office, to dinner and for drinks (not in one day!) and it's safe to say I'm not bored yet!
